Who I am

This website is run by Farris Green, a sole trader trading as Farris Green Advisory. I decide how your information is used here, which makes me the "controller" under UK data protection law. I'm registered with the Information Commissioner's Office, registration number ZC259667.

Email: farris@farrisgreen.ai

Address: Farris Green Advisory, 2nd Floor, 33 Newman Street, London W1T 1PY

What I collect and why

  • When you book a call: your first and last name, email, company name, team size and anything you choose to tell me about what you'd like to discuss. I use it to hold the call and follow up about it. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in answering your request, or taking steps you've asked for before a contract. Your name and email are needed to book, because I can't hold the call without them.
  • When you use the Hours Back tool: The tool runs in your browser. Nothing you type is sent to me unless you ask me to email your result. If you do, I use your name, email and answers to send it, and the legal basis is my legitimate interest in answering your request. If you tick the box to hear from me, I also send a few follow-up emails. Those rely on your consent, and I keep a record of the wording you agreed to and when. You can withdraw that consent at any time with the unsubscribe link in any follow-up email, or by emailing me.
  • When you email me: your email address and what you write. Same purpose and basis.
  • When you visit the site: if you accept analytics cookies, the site builder records basic visit information, such as the pages you view and a browser identifier, so I can see how the site is used. See the cookies section below.

Please don't send me sensitive personal information or confidential client material.

Free skills and resources

The free skills and resources I share download straight from this site. I don't see who downloads them.

HOURS BACK on Substack

My newsletter runs on Substack. If you subscribe, Substack handles your details under its own privacy policy. Visiting this website never signs you up.

Who else handles your information

  • FG Funnels, built on HighLevel (LeadConnector): hosts this website, stores booking and contact details, and records site visits if you accept analytics cookies.
  • Google: my business email and calendar, and the fonts on this page. Also Google Analytics, only if you accept analytics cookies.

Both act only on my instructions. Some of your information is processed in the United States. FG Funnels protects those transfers with Standard Contractual Clauses in the data processing agreement I have with them, and Google uses the same kind of contract terms. You can email me for more detail.

How long I keep it

I only keep your information for as long as I need it.

  • If we talk but don't work together: I delete your details 2 years after we were last in touch.
  • If you use the HOURS BACK tool and we don't talk: I delete your details 2 years after you last used it or last heard from me.
  • If you become a client: I keep your details for 6 years after our work ends, because that's how long a claim about a contract can be brought and how long tax records have to be kept.

If you ask me to stop contacting you, I keep your email on a short do-not-contact list so I don't contact you by mistake.

Your rights

You can ask to see the information I hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, limit how I use it, object to me using it, or ask for a copy to take elsewhere. Where I rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. I don't make decisions about you by automated means alone. Email me and I'll reply within one month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, though I'd appreciate the chance to sort it out first.

Cookies and similar technology

If you accept analytics cookies, the site builder stores small pieces of information in your browser to count visits. These include a visitor identifier and a record of the pages you've viewed in a session. If you don't accept, it doesn't.

If you accept analytics cookies, I also use Google Analytics 4 to see how people use the site. It sets cookies named _ga and _ga_MV9ECR68EQ. If you don't accept, it doesn't run.

The first time you visit, a box asks whether you accept analytics cookies. Nothing from Google Analytics or the site builder's visit stats runs until you choose Accept, and your choice is saved in your browser, and in a small cookie called fga_consent, for six months. You can change it at any time: open cookie settings.

You can clear stored site data at any time in your browser settings.
