You'll need
- A MacIt uses the Mac's built-in face detection and text reading to frame you and check your captions.
- The Claude desktop appIt runs in the Code tab, because it runs small programs on your Mac to edit the video.
- Google ChromeFor the fonts in your design system.
- Nothing leaves your MacYour videos are never uploaded, and it asks before it installs anything.
How to add it
First: download the plugin, double-click the zip and move the FGA IG Reel Designer + Editor folder into your Documents folder. Don't rename it.
Add it
In the Code tab of the Claude desktop app
- Start a new session in any folder.
- Paste this and send it:
Add the Claude Code plugin in my Documents folder called FGA IG Reel Designer + Editor. Run claude plugin marketplace add on that folder, then install fga-ig-reel@farris-green.
- Start a new session so it picks up the plugin.
Try it
About 10 minutes the first time
- Type:
/reel-studio
- Paste links to 2 or 3 reels you love. It builds your look.
- Send your raw video. Next time, just send the video.
